Volleyball Game Preview: Piedmont Highlanders vs. Head-Royce Jayhawks

The Piedmont Highlanders will venture away from home to take on the Head-Royce Jayhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Piedmont has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 8.

Piedmont lost 3-0 to Castro Valley on Tuesday.

While Piedmont was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Castro Valley's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-13.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Head-Royce, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Bentley on Friday. The Jayhawks not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 12th (when they won 3-0).

Head-Royce never let Bentley on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 27-25, 25-21.

Head-Royce has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Piedmont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.
