Softball Recap: Portsmouth Patriots vs. South Kingstown Rebels

Portsmouth's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the South Kingstown Rebels as Portsmouth made off with a 15-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their one-run performance the game before.

Mia Ruggieri made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
