Softball Recap: Delta Panthers vs. Aspen Skiers

While Delta put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Aspen. The Delta Panthers put the hurt on the Aspen Skiers with a sharp 15-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Jazlyn Naranjo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Naranjo was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and a triple.

In other batting news, Olivia Hines was incredible, going 3-for-3 with a home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Bush, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Delta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .550. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in 16 consecutive matchups.

Delta is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Aspen, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
