Soccer Recap: Independence Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against the Colony

There's no place like home for Independence, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past The Colony Cougars 5-1 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

They hit The Colony with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Christian Bourg (2), Parker Bates (2), and Collier Speice.

The win got Independence back to even at 2-2-1. As for The Colony, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Independence didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against White on the 17th. The Colony has also already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Sherman on the 17th.
