Soccer Game Preview: Westland Hialeah vs. North Miami Beach

Westland Hialeah and North Miami Beach are an even 3-3-3 against one another since November of 2015, but likely not for long. The Westland Hialeah Wildcats will square off against the North Miami Beach Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Westland Hialeah turned things around against Hialeah-Miami Lakes on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Trojans a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, North Miami Beach won against Hialeah on Friday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. North Miami Beach skirted past Southridge 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Chargers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Spartans are ranked 34th).

Westland Hialeah's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for North Miami Beach, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Westland Hialeah might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from North Miami Beach in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Can Westland Hialeah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
