Baseball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian fell victim to Valley Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Defenders. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this match were averaging 3.79 runs allowed.

Heritage Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-7-1 record this season. As for Valley Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-9 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian will take on Whittier Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Heralds have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Valley Christian, they will face off against Maranatha at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Minutemen will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Defenders surely won't give up without a fight.
