Volleyball Game Preview: Harwood Highlanders vs. Randolph Ghosts + How To Watch

The Harwood Highlanders will head out on the road to take on the Randolph Ghosts at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Randolph took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Harwood, who comes in off a win.

Harwood is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Missisquoi Valley, who was ranked 20th at the time (Harwood was ranked fourth). The Highlanders blew past the Thunderbirds 3-0 on Saturday. The Highlanders haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Harwood walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Randolph didn't have quite enough to beat Mt. Abraham on Friday and fell 3-2. The Ghosts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Randolph actually scored more points across those five sets (105-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 19-25, 15-25, 15-13.

Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Harwood, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

Harwood beat Randolph 3-1 when the teams last played back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
