Baseball Recap: Lakeside School Extends Home Winning Streak to 23

Lakeside School came tearing into Wednesday's game with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals a 5-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Tuesday.

Demetrius Hardnett made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Hardnett wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Conner Britton, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
