Baseball Game Preview: Pittsburg Pirates vs. Washington Huskies

The Pittsburg Pirates will square off against the Washington Huskies at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

After dropping their season opener at home, Washington is headed out to face a Pirates squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Pittsburg fell just short of Miramonte by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday.

Washington kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 10-4 to Foothill.

Washington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ehkam Braich, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Pittsburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Washington when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 7-3. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
