Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Corvallis). They came out on top against the Stevensville Yellowjackets by a score of 53-44 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Devils as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Stevensville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Angus Trangmoe, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Brown, who earned seven points.

Corvallis' win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Stevensville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Corvallis and Stevensville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings. Corvallis will take on Beaverhead County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday down 105 places (122 vs. 17). Similarly, Stevensville (ranked 129th) will meet Frenchtown (ranked 15th) at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
