Softball Recap: White Plains Find Success

White Plains put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Fox Lane Foxes by a score of 4-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Foxes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Alexis Tighe's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks. Those 18 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, White Plains saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Neela Older, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Older's first of the season.

White Plains' victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Fox Lane, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Coincidentally, White Plains and Fox Lane will both be playing Port Chester the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Foxes will host them at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
