Volleyball Recap: Millard West Falls to Omaha Westside in First Game of Season

Millard West had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Omaha Westside Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Millard West took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 21-25, 18-25, 25-14, 17-15.

Mary Bahle was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 16 digs. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high.

Coincidentally, Millard West and Omaha Westside will both be playing Skutt Catholic the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the SkyHawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
