Softball Game Preview: Orange Vista Coyotes vs. Valley View Eagles

The Orange Vista Coyotes will head out to face off against the Valley View Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orange Vista has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Orange Vista lost 11-5 to Poly on Thursday.

Macai Johnson stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with one home run. Danielle Zabala was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.

Meanwhile, Valley View fell victim to Poly and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Valley View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Torres, who went 1-for-4 with one triple.

Orange Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 18-4.

Orange Vista skirted past Valley View 10-9 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
