Volleyball Recap: Lanesboro Comes Up Short

Lanesboro suffered their biggest defeat since October 10, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Mabel-Canton Cougars. The Burros were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-13.

Mabel-Canton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Burke led the charge by getting 11 digs.

Lanesboro dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mabel-Canton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lanesboro will take on rival Spring Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mabel-Canton is set to face off against their familiar foe Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
