Soccer Recap: Shoemaker Takes a Loss

Shoemaker lost against Midway back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Shoemaker Wolves came up short against the Midway Panthers, falling 4-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Wolves haven't been shut out since back in January.

This is the second loss in a row for Shoemaker and nudges their season record down to 6-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-5 Temple (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 66.7% over those games). As for Midway, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Shoemaker will be playing in front of their home fans against Killeen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Midway, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Midway challenge the Temple at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Temple has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 14 goals over their last three matches.
