Basketball Game Preview: South Decatur Cougars vs. Batesville Bulldogs

The South Decatur Cougars will take on the Batesville Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Decatur is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, South Decatur came up short against Oldenburg Academy and fell 63-52.

Meanwhile, Batesville ended up a good deal behind East Central on Saturday and lost 61-43. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 16-12 in the first quarter.

South Decatur will have to contain Cade Kaiser as he made an impact in Batesville's last game. He went 8-for-13 en route to 20 points. Kaiser has become a key player for Batesville: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least 15 points, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Trenten Luers, who posted 12 points.

South Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Batesville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.
