Basketball Game Preview: Bodine vs. Penn Treaty Wovles

Bodine will venture away from home to take on the Penn Treaty Wovles at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Penn Treaty will be up against a hot Bodine squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Bodine came out on top against First Philadelphia Prep by a score of 76-66 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Bodine has won by exactly ten points.

Kiair Ancrum-Thomas had an outrageously good game as he shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. Those 28 points gave him a new career-high. Alex Delisca was another key player, dropping a triple-double on 11 points, 12 boards, and ten assists.

Bodine was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Penn Treaty was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 62-57 to Parkway Center City.

Bodine pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Penn Treaty, they now have a losing record at 4-5-1.

Bodine lost to Penn Treaty on the road by a decisive 81-63 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Bodine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
