Football Recap: Wahama Piles Up the Points Against Calhoun

Wahama won the last time they faced Calhoun and things went their way on Friday too. The White Falcons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Red Devils 57-7. That looming 57-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the White Falcons yet this season.

Wahama's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reezin Stitt led the charge by rushing for 179 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Stitt is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 148 every time he's taken the field this season. Treyvon Bearhs was another key back, rushing for 110 yards and three scores on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wahama was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 450 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Wahama didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bearhs and Preston Hemmelgarn.

Calhoun's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Charter Cottrell, who picked up 134 receiving yards and one TD, and Brennen Carpenter, who threw for 200 yards and one touchdown.

Wahama's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Calhoun, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Wahama wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 55-6 victory against Wirt County on the 26th. As for Calhoun, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 52-12 defeat against Tolsia on the 26th.
