Baseball Recap: Dickinson Takes a Loss

Dickinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainfield Cardinals.

Ricardo Hernandez and Jose Hernandez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ricardo went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Jose scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Avendano, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Dickinson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Plainfield, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Dickinson will be playing in front of their home fans against Hoboken at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams will need to watch out since the Redwings have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Plainfield, they will venture away from home to square off against Rahway at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
