Volleyball Recap: Normal University Pioneers vs. Bloomington Purple Raiders
Normal University had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Bloomington Purple Raiders by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on five straight.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21.
Laney Snow paced Normal University's offense, picking up nine kills. Snow got some help from
Lola Clayton and her 17 assists.
Ava Crabtree controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Normal University's win bumped their record up to 33-3. As for Bloomington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-23.
Normal University will square off against Mt. Zion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Normal University is looking to tack on another W to their 18-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Bloomington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
