Baseball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Staley

On Monday Staley's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lee's Summit North Broncos. The two-run effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Krue Patrick tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Staley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Abbott, who went 2-for-4 with one triple.

Staley pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lee's Summit North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
