Mapletown's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Avella Eagles 9-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Maples as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Makenna Lotspeich was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Taniyah Spell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Lotspeich wasn't the only one making solid contact: Mapletown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The Maples are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
