Basketball Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar lost against Fort Myers back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Dunbar Tigers took a 45-31 bruising from the Fort Myers Green Wave. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Dunbar saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addision Fuhr dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Among those leading the charge was Taylor Hargrove, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Monica Mercado, who posted 12 points.

Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Fort Myers, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4.

Dunbar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-50 victory against East Lee County on the 18th. As for Fort Myers, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-21 win against Bonita Springs on the 17th.
