Baseball Recap: Liberty Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

There's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Boulder Creek Jaguars on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Jaguars on Monday, they had to take a 7-5 loss.

Liberty's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Boulder Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.

Coincidentally, Liberty and Boulder Creek will both be playing Pinnacle the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Pioneers at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, while the Jaguars will host them at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
