Volleyball Recap: Flint Hill's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

If Fairfax wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Flint Hill, they should've done a better job of containing Evie Huang. The Huskies narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lions 2-1 thanks in part to Huang, who had 12 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory didn't come easy: Fairfax scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 22-25.

Flint Hill's win ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Fairfax, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Flint Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Paul VI on the 27th. As for Fairfax, they will challenge Lake Braddock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
