Arlington Baptist suffers third straight loss at home

This season hasn't been kind to the Arlington Baptist Eagles, who are still winless after their fourth match. Their rough 57-32 defeat to Frederick Christian Academy on Friday might stick with them for a while. Arlington Baptist lost against Frederick Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 37-22 score last time.

Despite the loss, Arlington Baptist still got an impressive performance from Zachary Davis, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds. Davis scored a full 34.4% of Arlington Baptist's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brendon Brown, who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 steals.

Arlington Baptist bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Frederick Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Arlington Baptist will head out on the road to face off against Carroll Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Carroll Christian is ranked 44th, while Arlington Baptist is ranked 38th). As for Frederick Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against New Life Christian at 7:30 p.m.
