Baseball Recap: Maple Heights Wins Going Away Against Richmond Heights

Maple Heights won the last time they faced Richmond Heights and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Spartans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

The team relied heavily on Marvin Wolfe, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Moore, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

Maple Heights always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .513 or higher in three consecutive matches.

The victory got Maple Heights back to even at 2-2-1. As for Richmond Heights, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
