Baseball Recap: StoneBridge Comes Up Short

StoneBridge lost against Greenbrier Christian Academy back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cavaliers came up short against the Gators, falling 10-4.

StoneBridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Walton, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Walton's first of the season.

StoneBridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, their record is now 20-3.

Coming up, StoneBridge will take on Norfolk Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers are facing the Ambassadors at the right time seeing as the Ambassadors are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, they will square off against Cox at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Gators 3.8, the Falcons 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
