North Reading entered their tilt with Pentucket Regional on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Pentucket Regional 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

North Reading's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Pentucket Regional, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
