It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Tamarac ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the Hoosick Falls Panthers 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bengals in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Toni DeLorenzo spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 14 Ks.

At the plate, Tamarac's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kenlyn Ferris, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Tamarac's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Hoosick Falls, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tamarac is set to square off against their familiar foe Mechanicville at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hoosick Falls will take on rival Waterford-Halfmoon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
