Baseball Preview: West Perry Mustangs vs. Juniata Indians

West Perry is 3-0 against Juniata since April of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The West Perry Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Juniata Indians at 12:00 p.m.

On Thursday, West Perry fell victim to a tough 10-1 defeat at the hands of Shippensburg. West Perry has not had much luck with Shippensburg recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, everything went Juniata's way against Line Mountain on Tuesday as Juniata made off with a 13-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Juniata.

Carson Kepner made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Kepner was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Grant Reinhold was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Brandon Snyder, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

West Perry's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Juniata, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything went West Perry's way against Juniata when the teams last played back in March of 2023 as West Perry made off with an 8-2 win.
