Volleyball Recap: Los Angeles' Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Los Angeles had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They didn't even let the Manual Arts Toilers on the board, marking their second-straight 3-0 shutout. The Romans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Toilers, too.

While Los Angeles won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Manual Arts still got an impressive performance from Alejando Mejia, who hit 81.8% for 20 kills and 15 digs, three blocks, and three aces. Mejia is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least 14 every time he's taken the court this season.

Los Angeles pushed their record up to 5-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Manual Arts, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
