Basketball Recap: Spring Mountain Comes Up Short

Spring Mountain's tournament run continued when they took on Southeast Career Tech on Friday. The Spring Mountain Eagles had to suffer through a 61-33 loss at the hands of the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southeast Career Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ricardo Rodriguez, who posted nine points. The dominant performance gave Rodriguez a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Worthy Manumaleuna, who earned ten points.

Spring Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Southeast Career Tech, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Spring Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Waterford at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southeast Career Tech, they will face off against Canyon Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
