Soccer Game Preview: Callaway vs. Jackson

The Callaway Cavaliers will take on the Jackson Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Callaway, who comes in off a win.

Callaway will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Westside on Friday. Callaway blew past Westside 10-2. The result was nothing new for Callaway, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Jackson lost 5-1 to Strong Rock Christian on Friday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Jackson were already down 5-1.

Callaway is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those four contests. This is the second loss in a row for Jackson and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Callaway was able to grind out a solid win over Jackson when the teams last played on March 4th, winning 3-1. Does Callaway have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jackson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
