Hoover and Morro Bay squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Hoover had to settle for second. They lost 7-0 to the Pirates. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Morro Bay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morro Bay, they will challenge Fowler at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Redcats will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
