Softball Recap: Bristol-Plymouth RVT Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Bristol-Plymouth RVT nor Tri-County RVT made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Craftsmen fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 5-3. That makes it the first time this season the Craftsmen have let down their home crowd.

Gabrianna Arrighi spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Shelby Estrella made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Bree Aldrich, who went 2-for-5 with two runs.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 10-2. As for Tri-County RVT, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Diman RVT on the 12th. As for Tri-County RVT, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-2 victory against Bay Path RVT on the 12th.
