Soccer Recap: Compton Comes Up Short

If Compton was riding high fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Centennial last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tarbabes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaffey Tigers on Monday. While losing is never fun, Compton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 744th, while Chaffey are ranked 354th).

Compton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-2. As for Chaffey, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Compton will welcome Woodrow Wilson at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2026. As for Chaffey, they will challenge Walnut at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
