Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Apex Friendship couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost to the Overhills Jaguars at home by a 64-50 margin on Friday. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Apex Friendship still got an impressive performance from Jasmine Nivar, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 46% of Apex Friendship's points, marking the 16th time in a row Nivar has posted more than a third of the team's points. Luwam Beniyam was another key player, putting up five points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Apex Friendship smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Overhills only five offensive rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Overhills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Najiha Allen, who went 7-for-13 from beyond the arc to rack up 23 points and five rebounds. The contest was Allen's third in a row with at least 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Autry, who shot 40% from the field on her way to 18 points and five assists.

Apex Friendship's loss dropped their record down to 24-5. As for Overhills, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Apex Friendship does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Overhills, they are taking a road trip to challenge Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wakefield comes in on 15 and Overhills on eight.
