Basketball Recap: Walkerville Wildcats vs. Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs
The Walkerville Wildcats's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against Grand Traverse Academy as Walkerville made off with a 54-32 win.
When it comes to explaining why Grand Traverse Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Weston Kinney. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Wilkins, who scored two points along with eight rebounds.
Walkerville's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Grand Traverse Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walkerville will take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grand Traverse Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. St. Michael Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
