Softball Recap: Lincoln Park Academy Takes a Loss

If Lincoln Park Academy was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Westwood last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greyhounds came up short against the Martin County Tigers on Wednesday, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-1 back in March.

Lincoln Park Academy dropped their record down to 3-11-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Martin County, their record is now 11-9.

Looking ahead, Lincoln Park Academy will face off against Sebastian River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Greyhounds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sharks have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Martin County, they will take on Vero Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
