Football Preview: Blountstown Tigers vs. Madison County Cowboys        
        
		
             Blountstown hasn't had much luck against Madison County recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Blountstown Tigers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Madison County Cowboys at 7:30  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Blountstown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Aucilla Christian 62-17. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Blountstown found their leader in sophomore  Kayin Martin, who rushed for 269 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. The dominant performance gave  Martin a new career-high in  rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Curt Ellis, who gained 148 total yards and two touchdowns.
 Blountstown was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 507  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Blountstown didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Cyion Smith and  Zestan Raulerson.
 Meanwhile, Madison County waltzed into their contest  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Terriers, posting  a  51-13 win. Given the Cowboys' advantage  in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings  (they are ranked 69th, while the Terriers are ranked 315th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Madison County's defense and their eight sacks.  Ezekiel Ghent was especially locked on to Moore Haven's QB and sacked him three times.
 Blountstown is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven games,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Madison County, their record is now 7-3.
 Friday's  matchup will pit two  of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Martin and  Jason Mcdaniel. Martin just won't slow down this season and  has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 99.3 rushing yards per game. Mcdaniel has been a dominant force too and  has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 87.9 rushing yards per game.
 Blountstown was dealt a bruising  35-0 defeat at the hands of Madison County when the teams last played  back in November of 2021. Can Blountstown avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
