Central won the last time they faced New Madrid County Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers snuck past the Eagles with a 58-54 victory.

Despite the defeat, New Madrid County Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayden Williams shot 58% from the field en route to 24 points and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Williams now owns an excellent 47.4% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Guest-Newsome, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 12 points.

Central's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for New Madrid County Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Central will be home for the holidays to greet Farmington at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for New Madrid County Central, they and Charleston will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played. The Eagles will be up against the Bluejays' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
