Softball Game Preview: Mojave Mustangs vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles

The Mojave Mustangs will square off against the Lone Pine Golden Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Mojave nor Lone Pine posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Mojave came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Immanuel Christian, falling 15-2. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, Lone Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Lee Vining. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Golden Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Mojave's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lone Pine, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
