Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Port). Everything went their way against the Belleview Rattlers on Friday as the West Port Wolf Pack made off with a 51-27 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolf Pack as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Avin Pickering looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 133 yards and three touchdowns. Joshua Cobbett helped Pickering out on the ground, rushing for 27 yards and a touchdown, while also catching a touchdown.
West Port was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 307 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
West Port's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Belleview, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
As of now, neither West Port nor Belleview have any future games scheduled.
