Basketball Recap: Racine Park Skates Past Waterford with Ease

It's playoff time, and Racine Park had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 71-41 victory over the Waterford Wolverines. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Racine Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Betker, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards Betker has posted since back in January. Jacob Freeman was another key player, going 8-for-12 en route to 20 points.

The win was the fifth in a row for Racine Park, bringing their record for this year to 26-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.6 points over those games. As for Waterford, they moved to 24-4 with that loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Racine Park will take on Wauwatosa West on Friday. Wauwatosa West knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matches -- so hopefully Racine Park likes a good challenge. Waterford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
