Football Game Recap: Hinkley Thunder vs. Kent Denver Sun Devils

Hinkley extended their losing streak to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-5. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 60-0 to the Kent Denver Sun Devils, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Thunder were not able to make up for their defeat to the Sun Devils from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Kent Denver, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Yianni Balafas, who threw for 71 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Colton Meade made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hinkley will welcome Kennedy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Thunder will be up against the Commanders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kent Denver, they will be playing at home against Englewood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Sun Devils will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
