Volleyball Recap: Arvin Wins Going Away Against Del Oro

Arvin won the last time they faced Del Oro and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bears were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Suns. The Bears not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

Arvin walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-9, 25-18.

Carolina Navarro paced Arvin's offense, picking up eight kills. Navarro got some help from Destiny Robles and her 11 assists. Robles was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Arvin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8-3 record this season. As for Del Oro, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arvin will welcome Golden Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Del Oro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foothill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Suns are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
