The Monahans Loboes and the West Plains Wolves squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Monahans Loboes had to settle for second. They were the victim of a tough 42-21 defeat at the hands of the Wolves. Monahans' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

West Plains was led to victory by REID MACON and JORDI HERNANDEZ. MACON threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.1% of his passes, while HERNANDEZ rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown. HERNANDEZ is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. KYRON WOOTEN did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Monahans' defeat dropped their record down to 12-1. As for West Plains, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Monahans does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Plains is on the road again on Friday and play against Glen Rose at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. Glen Rose knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully West Plains likes a good challenge.
