Volleyball Game Preview: Ursuline Academy Lions vs. Tippecanoe Red Devils

The Ursuline Academy Lions will take on the Tippecanoe Red Devils at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ursuline Academy comes in on four and Tippecanoe on 26.

Ursuline Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Turpin as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ursuline Academy can attribute much of their success to Mackenzie Higgins, who had eight digs and three aces, and Anna Ellensohn, who had five digs and two aces.

Ross typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Tippecanoe proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-8, 20-25, 25-15.

Tippecanoe's win bumped their record up to 26-0. As for Ursuline Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 19-7.

Ursuline Academy skirted past Tippecanoe 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
