Volleyball Recap: Ben Lomond Comes Up Short

Ben Lomond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph Jayhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jayhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 23-25, 25-17.

Leading St. Joseph to victory were Sophie Yates and Mya Rogers. Yates had 20 digs and two assists, while Rogers hit 50.8% for 33 kills and 18 digs and two aces. Rogers has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 15 times she's played.

Ben Lomond's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for St. Joseph, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Ben Lomond didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Morgan on the 7th. As for St. Joseph, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Manila on the 3rd.
